Sonu Sood Under Fire for Controversial Remarks: Kangana Ranaut Reacts

Kangana Ranaut’s Outrage on Social Media

Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut recently took to her X handle to condemn fellow actor Sonu Sood for his controversial remarks defending a food vendor accused of spitting on a customer’s food. In her post, Kangana criticized Sonu for justifying such an act, sparking a heated debate online.

The Controversial Post

Sonu Sood’s Justification

Sonu Sood has been under fire for his remarks comparing the food vendor’s act of spitting on food to the Shabri episode in the Ramayana. He reportedly said, “If Lord Ram could eat Shabri’s berries, why can’t he eat rotis that have been spat upon?” He described the act as one of ‘Humanity’ and urged people to maintain non-violence.

Public Reaction to the Comments

An X user initially posted a clip of a boy spitting on dough while making chapatis. This video was a reaction to Sonu Sood’s earlier post about a new rule requiring restaurants along the Kanwar Yatra route to publicly display the names of their owners. The user commented, “The roti smeared with spit should be parcelled to Sonu Sood.” Sonu responded, “Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can’t I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence, my brother.”

Kangana Ranaut’s Response

Kangana Ranaut was quick to respond to Sonu Sood’s comments. She posted, “SHOCKING NEWS: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood justifies spitting in people’s food. He equates spitting on food by a miscreant with Lord Ram eating Shabri’s berries. He said ‘if Lord Ram could eat Shabri’s berries, why can’t he eat rotis that have been spat upon?’ He defended the act of spitting by describing it as an act of ‘Humanity’. He said ‘Humanity must remain intact.’”

Condemnation and Support

Kangana’s post has received widespread attention, with many supporting her stance while others defended Sonu Sood’s interpretation of the event. The debate highlights the ongoing tension between maintaining cultural sanctity and addressing modern societal issues.
